|  | About UsThe Medicine Shoppe was established in 1985 as a family owned pharmacy to provide the residence of DeKalb a personalized professional atmosphere where the pharmacist is attentive to the interpersonal needs of the individual and the family and able provide a comfortable setting where the client remains the priority. Because we understand you’re time is valuable we initiated the only fifteen-minute guarantee in the DeKalb area that states, “You will be out the door in fifteen minutes or less or your prescription is free.” (Providing your medication need is in our store’s inventory.) In 1996, we felt there was a need in Northern Illinois for specialty compounding and started the Professional Compounding Center of Northern Illinois, which provides the ability to make individualized treatments, as prescribed by your doctor or veterinarian, not made by pharmaceutical manufacturers. In 2004, we left the Medicine Shoppe franchise behind and changed our name to The Medicine Stop and today remain one of the few independent pharmacies in the area that remains focused on the customers individualized needs. Our goal is to maintain the professionalism and focus on our customers while meeting the needs of the DeKalb community as we have done for the past twenty-five years.
